Opening and Closing Reporting
Each employee having access to a department, or area is assigned a keypad code. This user identification can also be transmitted to the central station in the event that opening and closing service is provided. In this manner, reports of all system arming (closings) and disarming (openings) will detail the employee that accessed. Out of schedule accesses to the premises can be notified to your management in real time via our central station.
By implementing such controls, a company can greatly reduce the risk of loss from an employee theft or misuse of company equipment and premises.
High Security Monitoring
To counteract the threat of a skilled attack on the communication lines, (telephone cables) from your premises, Novation can provide alternative communication paths to the central. These include continually supervised circuits that detect a lost line, and Digital GSM signaling which uses the cellular network control channel to instantly dispatch the central in the event of an alarm signal. Internet reporting is also available, and is becoming popular due to the increased high speed Internet penetration in homes.
Many of our commercial and residential systems include these supervised “High Security” signaling to the central station.
Motion Detection
Quality Digital motion sensors are used to avoid the risk of costly false alarms. The sensor detects infrared “heat” energy of on intruder, through microcontroller Digital processing of the signals, the detector becomes immune to most light, heat, and small objects moving in the field of view.
Monitoring of your existing alarm system
Novation Security Systems can monitor most existing commercial and residential control panels.
You will need to inform our office of what manufacturers control panel you presently have, and the type of communication to a monitoring central.
This can be via:
- digital dialer (the most common)
- Direct supervised telephone circuit.
- D-Vacs direct circuits (applicable on Canada only)
- Wireless or Cellular back-up reporting
On commercial monitoring, Novation can provide alarm only, or alarm and all opening and closings via schedule.
Digital monitoring is provided for $159.95 yearly (plus taxes)
Our rates for monitoring include all burglary, fire, panic, temperature, or other zones. There are no extra charges for additional zones that signal to the central station, unlike some competitors.
Upgrades to equipment (if required) will be gladly quoted by a representative as well as the initial activation charge. If you were referred by a current residential Novation customer then please inform us so that we can waive the activation charge!
